makalius.lt is a travel agency helping you to find the best travel deals and instantly book them online. After deciding to do a complete rebranding in 2016, makalius.lt has rebuilt their travel sales e-commerce platform from scratch.
Our team at Choco Agency was happy to redesign the platform. The end result has been recognised as the best e-commerce website of the year @Login awards.
The most useless Christmas gift campaign
PILDYK – prepaid SIM card.
While shopping for Christmas gifts you have money & time at your disposal. Can’t spend much yet can’t buy anything shitty. The challenge – cheap yet cool gifts.
Idea: You CAN get away with useless gifts if these are hilarious.
We did a Christmas website with 22 hilarious gifts containing detailed DIY videos how to craft these gems + Facebook and Instagram content support. Example – an empty balloon is actually a vegan hair dryer (inflate it, release the nozzle, escaping air dries your hair).
Campaign reached 635,000 people, generated 54,000+ stories, 275,000+ video views, 7,662 www visits.

The challenge – make pre-Christmas period without Wham and Michael Buble possible.
Most of Lithuanians using Spotify listen to top charts. Wham and Buble are so annoying they find their way into these charts. We decided to craft new selective playlists for everyone to enjoy.
A microsite with 7-playlists each containing 100 all-time great songs was launched. Responsive design supported all devices without requiring a Spotify app/ premium account. Jazz, Blues, Funk, Soul, Rock, Classical music and classy approach to Christmas music. 54 hours worth of Buble/ Wham free music.
Up-to 1250 daily listeners enjoyed Volfas Engelman’s playlists.
Your picture is worth a thousand Euros campaign
The product – new craft beer line.
The challenge – introducing new craft beer line through topics relatable to target-audience.
TA’s Instagram stats show that TRAVEL is the most passionate/ popular topic for sharing their lifestyle. We complimented best Instagram photos/ encouraged enrolling them for a chance to win 1,000EUR for their next trip.
A campaign website with Instagram-login for easy photo submission focused on two groups:
a) people with epic travel photos;
b) people with ‘cry for holiday help’ photos.
Enroll->Share->Get more votes->Win a trip.
Campaign reached 368,000 people, 10,000 compliments posted, 3,500 photos enrolled, 41,000 www visits, 200,000+ votes generated.
On hipsters we depend campaign
The product – Kane’s soda.
The challenge – making target audience talk about a brand newly introduced to the market (Californian surf scene/ its laid-back lifestyle inspired Kane’s soda entered the no-surf Lithuania).
The idea – selecting most trending Lithuania’s activities/ buying gift cards/ offering them to target audience in exchange for their social media influence.
Campaign website with 500 trendy activity gift-cards: pick activity->share branded visual to FB->win a gift card. Plus three Lithuanian celebrities signed as project ambassadors with videos of them trying out these activities.
Campaign reached 500,000+ people, generated 45,000+ stories, 43,000+ www visits/ product shares, 400,000+ video views.
